I Know I Know

I am such a terrible blogger. I am not going to say this time I am going to start updating more because lets me real I update like every 4 months, so for all of you who actually look at our blog I hope this post will satisfy you until November. Beware this is a long post.

The 4th of July:

We have had a pretty great summer. The first great thing we did was of course to to Blanding for the 4th of July. I just love Blanding on the 4th and would not want to be anywhere else. I am sad however that I did not get a single picture from our time over there. I forgot my camera everytime we went somehwere. This year's celebration did no disappoint. As usual we woke up that morning and went to the parade. We sat at the Hardware store and it was so much fun to watch all the kids get so excited about all the candy and getting soaked by the fire trucks. As usual I was completely embarrased by the Gandianton Band, but let's be honest it would not be the 4th of July parade without it. After the parade I was off to play in the grass volleyball tourny. It was lots of fun and even though we did not win I am so ok with that. It's fun to play and still be able to get to the fireworks on time and even spare a little time for some dinner in between. The fireworks were GREAT!! I think Blanding has such a great fireworks display for a small town. The 4th of July is by far my favorite holiday. Good weather, Good food, Good company, and Good entertainment how can you beat that?

Ute Stampede:

Dallin and I have made it a tradition since we have lived in Richfield to go to the Ute Stampede in Nephi each year the weekend after teh fourth. We of course went again this year and had a good time. I was a little disappointed however because usually a guy parachutes out of an airplane with a huge american flag attached to him and he lands in the arena while patriotic music plays and he did not do it this year. =( I did remember to snap a few pictures at the Rodeo. See Below:

They have a "Bathing Beauties" parade every year.  These are the winners.

Nicole's Wedding:

A few weeks after the Ute Stampede we traveled north again to go to Nicole's wedding.  She has found such a nice guy and they are so happy together and we are so happy for her.  The ceremony was great and the reception was so pretty.  It was at a place called The Pointe that had an awesome view of the city.  Below are a few pictures of the reception, and at the very end you will see a video of my nephew dancing his little heart away.

We have also been starting to finish our basement.  I will have some before and after pictures in a later post.
